Sanity Amidst Chaos: The escapism with simplicity
Believing in a Godly figure is simple.
It’s simple to pacify yourself with simple equations like good deeds will bring eternal happiness. Tolerate worldly pains to achieve an afterlife abundant with your wished possessions.
Believing in life is hard. Life’s events are difficult to predict.
Enduring all these emotions is difficult. To stay sane with the unpredictability is difficult.
Life is difficult. To live is nothing but dealing with excruciating pain.
No matter how you think others are privileged with opportunities and wealth, each one of us is dealing with life and its uncanny ways of serving troubles.
Thus we reach out for means and ways to soothe ourselves. With entertainment or revolting against entertainment, with bonds or aloofness, with Gods or denying Gods.
All of these are nothing but our own coping mechanisms. Our best try to stay sane within all the chaos we are born into.
So do what keeps you sane. The only rule that should bind us is to not negatively affect others’ sanity to keep ourselves sane.
